Using remanufactured ink cartridges has helped a dry cleaning firm in the US to drive a sustainability initiative.

Hangers Cleaners, in Kansas, is one of the only environmentally-friendly enterprises in the city, according to marketwire.com. The dry cleaning company uses remanufactured ink cartridges as part of its office supplies stock, along with electronic recycling and eco cleaning methods.

Joe Runyan, who owns Hangers Cleaners, said green products were now vital to the operation of the firm. "All of our green products help us revolutionize the industry. It shows that we use green cleaning and office supplies. Our employees and guests see that we are 'walking the talk' when it comes to being green," he said.

Mr Runyan also said his company was benefitting from using eco methods alongside traditional business operations. "Hangers Cleaners is innovative because we focus on service, exceptional garment care and stewardship of the environment. Those are the most important aspects to the business and the reasons for all of our success," said Runyan.
