How To Deal With An Ink Cartridges Spillage
Ink cartridges are simple enough little things – you stick them in the printer and they help to produce your documents. All well and good, most of the time.
Yes, most of the time – because as we all know, it doesn't always work out that way.
We've all probably had to swap an ink cartridge at some point or another, and while it doesn't happen often, they can sometimes leak, either inside the printer, or on the floor.
But if that happens, there's no point in crying over spilled ink, says Melissa Riofrio, writing for PCWorld.co.nz.
Ms Riofrio says that if you do spill ink on fabric or carpet, don't panic. Get some soap and water and brush the stain, making sure you do it in a motion so that the ink does not go deeper into the fabric.
The writer stresses that cleaning solutions should only be used with caution.
"Handle ink cartridges carefully, especially if they're refills, and during insertion and removal," she said. "If you're spill-prone, protect the area with newspaper or paper towels.
