Printer ink shoppers trying to choose between inkjet and laser printers have a number of different features they need to take into account, it has been claimed.

PC Advisor has highlighted the fact that most people replacing their existing hardware will need to choose between these two major models.

It highlighted the fact that the most suitable choice will depend on the type of print job that will be most commonly performed, as each of these two types has major benefits.

Inkjet printers are the obvious choice for those buyers looking to produce colour documents that include images and prioritising flexibility.

In contrast, laser printers are better for large volume print jobs dealing with documents that typically contain a lot of text.

Earlier this month, HP announced that it was launching a new range of printers that are designed to appeal to people looking to buy Christmas gifts this season.

Its HP Envy 110 e-All-in-One printer and HP Officejet Pro Series have been designed for the home office user and boast a combination of both of these printer types.
