Xerox's new ColorQube 9200 affordable printer could help the environment and save offices money, it has been claimed.

According to Universal Broadcasting News, a page of colour costs around four times more to print than its black and white equivalent - but the new device from Xerox can cut this cost significantly and help larger offices.

Xerox claims its new printer reduces the cost of printing colour pages by up to 62 per cent, compared to traditional colour lasers.

Ursula Burns, president of Xerox, says: "Our customers are looking for ways to achieve more with less. With ColorQube we are unlocking the benefits of colour by taking the cost barrier out of the equation."

The Xerox ColorQube 9200 Series can jet more than 150 million drops of ink per second, enabling speeds of between 38 pages per minute (ppm) and 85 ppm thanks to its four print heads.
