Your Reviews for the R2400 So Far

My Epson Stylus Photo R2400 printer - used for all photo work and anything else that needs to be A3 size. This is a superb printer and has not given me any trouble at all. Have tried various third party inks but found none of them are quite up to Epson ink cartridges in print quality and I am ensure of print life with these. I therefore stick to Epson K3 inks which are superb if rather pricey. I am a keen amateur photographer so quality of prints and longevity are vital.

I’ve owned my R2400 for 6 months. I use a laser printer for everyday use but bought the R2400 for my photographic work. When it works properly it makes awesome prints, but as with all inkjets it suffers from print head blockage. Never a week goes by when I’m not playing about with it trying to unblock the heads. This is also very wasteful on ink. My verdict is use an online lab for your prints because this machine is a money pit.

Pros: Fantastic colour and black and white prints. Easy to use/install.

Cons: Authentic inks are very expensive. It is rather large. A little slow with large colour prints.

Overall: I am very happy with the results from the R2400 but had I known how expensive it was going to be to run, would not have bought it. I use genuine Epson ink and paper for quality and assured longevity, as I am not convinced that there is a compatible product on the market that can meet these standards.

An all-round superb printer and totally unbeatable if genuine Epson inks are used. It may be said it is on the slow side, but what does that matter when you are only talking of minutes overall. Nigel Fenwick

I have run this printer in my studio for three years now. During this time it has been completely reliable, producing faultless prints every time with no maintenance other than a routine head clean and print check.

I run a professional photo gallery and my customers regularly comment on the high quality of the prints we produce. As a pro landscape photographer my work has to be presented to the highest standard.

I use the R2400 for prints up to A3+ size and always use original Epson papers and K3 inks, essential for print quality and machine reliability. Although somewhat expensive to run I believe you get what you pay for and in this respect this machine scores top marks. Russ Sherwood
