If you have tried to print a page with yellow ink and found that no colour is coming out, there are two likely explanations. Either the print head is clogged or there is air in the printer system.
To clean your yellow nozzle or print head, you can open your printer’s software and select the clean option. This may take several attempts to work properly, so patience is needed! To avoid having to do this, it’s best to clean your printer once a month for regular upkeep.
Yellow Ink Cartridge Test Page
If you are still missing yellow ink on the page after trying to clean out the print head several times, the issue is likely that there is air in your printer system.
The next thing to try is to download the Yellow Test Page below. This won’t waste your other ink colours, as it only prints yellow, but it will force the air out of your print system.
All you need to do is right click on the image below and click ‘Save As’. You can then print it out.
