Canon released 2 new printers being the TS8750 & TS8751 during early 2025. The printers are technically identical with the exterior colour being the only difference, TS8750 is black whilst the TS8751 is white. This follows the typical Canon numbering policy.
Both printers use the 6 cartridge system used by many Canon photo quality printers. This 6 ink system includes a dedicated black pigment cartridge the PGI-530, which is used primarily for text documents where the pigment ink gives both durability and clarity.
The set of 5 Chromalife CLI-531 colour cartridges comprises of the typical cyan, magenta and yellow primary colour cartridges found in all colour printers but the then supplemented by photo black and grey cartridges. All these colour cartridges contain a dye based ink so giving a better colour range.
Compatible vs Original Canon PGI-530 & CLI-531 Ink Cartridges
Cost is always going to be the main difference between original and compatible versions of the same cartridge. Modern compatible cartridges now provide the same functions such as ink level monitoring that original cartridges do. Compatible Cartridge Specifications
