Brother has provided support for the Founders Dock hub in Manchester, which aims to support start-up businesses by giving them mentoring, networking and education.

The system, established by TiE, encompasses 12 hot desks to offer people the support and advice they need to get a company up and running. It has all the benefits of office space with the added bonus of having access to expert advice, one of which is Brother UK's managing director Phil Jones. The company is also providing a range of technologies including its world-class printers for the scheme

“We are all really excited about the project, and are passionate about boosting start-up businesses," he said. “Start-ups often face challenges when it comes to presenting a professional image to prospective customers or clients due to a lack of resource. We are supporting the project with a huge range of technology, from printers to web conferencing, to help these growing businesses keep pace with more established SMEs,” he added.
