Brother Launches Super Efficient Printer
A new corporate printer that can produce up to 6,000 pages an hour has been launched by Brother, which says the device is also eco-friendly due to a revolutionary system contained inside.
The HL-S7000DN makes use of a dual motor system to collect paper from an input tray that holds 2,100 sheets, while the manufacturer claims that users can process up to 30,000 pages on one ink cartridge before it needs replacing, thanks to the efficiency of the 5,198 print head nozzles.
In order to process up to 100 pages a minute, the machine has an 800MHz CPU that can handle large print jobs including graphically rich documents, while there is also 2GB of internal storage for storing templates and other tasks.
Despite being so efficient, the printer makes use of Cold Process Technology to keep operating costs to a minimum, leading to a Typical Electrical Consumption value of just 1.5Wh per week, which is likely to prove attractive to cost-conscious businesses.
While most new printer releases are accompanied by blurb trumping their cool multi-coloured design, one of Brother's new multi-function (MFP) devices has been praised – for being designed entirely in black.
According to the Manila Bulletin Publishing Corporation, Brother's new DCP-J715W MFP resonates with the "timeless beauty of black", standing out from other printer colours and looking more akin to a TV or computer.
But it's not all about the shell. This printer, the corporation says, is packed full of features that allow users to multi-task "with ease".
Its inclusion of a wireless printing function – daunting to many people – can be installed and run with ease, making printing wirelessly a simple task – and there's a smartphone app so users can print from their iPhone, too.
In terms of print quality, this printer delivers, the corporation says: "Printing with Brother's DCP-J715 will not disappoint, the speed relative to the text density is decent and the quality of document printing is still at its best."
Recently, a survey of European businesses by Lexmark found many of them, despite having wireless technology, do not actually use it.
Brother MFC J4510DW Awarded Four Stars
The Brother MFC-J4510DW machine has been awarded four stars in a recent review by PC Advisor.
Robin Morris from the site commented on its attractive black and cream design, while its straightforward setup was also praised along with its sizeable 3.7 inch colour screen, making it easy for consumers to operate.
"If you're primarily needing a graphics printer, you'll find better models. But text output is good, and the features set substantial. Throw in the added convenience of the odd A3 document, and the Brother MFC-J4510DW has an awful lot going for it," Mr Morris explained.
However, he did concede that colour ink was often faint and watered down, meaning those who are looking for high image quality may be left underwhelmed.
Brother's MFC – J510DW printer is another one of the ink specialist's systems that has been reviewed in recent weeks.
ComputerShopper gave the machine its Editor's Choice award, with William Harrel from the website admitting that testers "liked the Brother MFC-J4510DW a bunch".
Brothers A3 Printer Ink Device Popular Among Small Businesses
Brother's all-in-one A3 device has become a popular choice among businesses in the multifunction printer market, the company claims.
The firm noted that following the launch of its inkjet printer its uptake has grown across the European continent.
On top of this, Brother claims the device brings affordable and effective printing solutions for companies.
Phil Jones, sales and marketing director at Brother, said: "We identified a gap in the market for a cost-effective A3 solution which has allowed us to successfully introduce our all-in-one inkjet machines.
"This success has been strengthened by our careful strategy of supporting ambitious small businesses, who appreciate the importance of effective technology."
Recently, Brother's monochrome laser printer HL-2270DW was awarded the winter 2011 winner for Small Office and Home Office honour from the Buyers Laboratory Inc.
The firm won the title for its device's quality printing solutions, cost-effectiveness and ability to provide optimum results for users.
