Brother's is giving a new look to its latest range of printers and the MFC-J870DW was the first to demonstrate the improved image.

The colour inkjet printer comes with full NFC support to give extra flexibility to users, allowing them to print from a range of devices including smartphones. Its rounded design gives it a professional appearance, while the slimline scanner lid makes it perfect for the home and office user who wants to make the most out of space. Coming in at just over £100, it is a fairly affordable all-in-one printer, and far cheaper than buying three separate, reliable units.

Brother has made the MFC-J870DW more user-friendly thanks to its new control panel, which includes both a touchscreen and physical panel. The touchscreen is a decent size, measuring 68mm, while the dedicated panel brings mode-sensitive touch buttons with a number pad for faxing. The main, 150-sheet paper tray is light with a 20-sheet photo tray inset into its lid, which is easy to put in place.
