The Canon Selphy CP790 is one of the 2010 products considered to be among the best home photo printers that can help consumers get the finest images out of their ink cartridges.

Featuring a three-inch colour LCD screen designed to allow users to see their images in full detail before they are printed, the product is a compact user-friendly photo printer with a storage case.

The screen can also allow people to transform images using the printer's onboard creative functions, which can be used to control the amount of printer ink used or the quality of the pictures.

According to Canon, "everyone can make great prints" with the product, which is capable of delivering "a lab-quality print in as little as one minute" and if stored in an album, they can "retain their vibrancy for up to 100 years".

Users can alter the sizes and shapes of the photos they print, with options, such as postcard, credit card and wide angle included.

Epson recently unveiled its PictureMate Show PM 300 printer, which received a good review from PC World.
