Though not the fastest machine on the market, the new Canon PIXMA MX350 inkjet printer has been praised as one of the more cost-effective and efficient devices on offer to smaller businesses.

Reviewing the latest offering from the technology giant, PC World Australia has noted that the overall printing cost per page is one of the best rates on the market, due largely to the fact that the PIXMA is able to take both black and a tri-colour ink cartridges.

In addition, the online publication has also praised the new device's ability to handle small text, with sizes as low as 6pt "handled well", even in standard quality mode.

At the same time, however, the review also notes that the new Canon PIXMA MX350 is guilty of some blurring and relatively poor fine image detail when it comes to printing high resolution digital photos.

Summing up, PC World concludes: "It is easy to use and the moderate initial outlay and ongoing costs make it attractive to small businesses that lack large budgets."

This comes soon after CNET praised the new Dell V515w All-in-One Wireless Inkjet Printer, as it is able to make use of ink cartridges to fax, copy and scan, as well as print documents.
