Canon has launched its new imageFORMULA P-150M, a scanner aimed at enabling Apple Mac users to scan on the go.

The leading printer ink cartridge and printer company has launched the product as it works to meet what it has called "significant demand" among Mac users for stylish, high-speed portable scanners. As such, the P-150M boasts a 'scan anywhere' capability, complete with all the software needed to take the device out of the office or home workplace.

Furthermore, as with many of the most printer ink-efficient printers now being launched onto the European market, the scanner boasts wireless networking capabilities, meaning users can get online and make use of cloud computing while out and about.

Commenting, Trevor Dodsworth, head of product marketing at Canon Business Solutions, Canon UK, said: "The Canon design team really has succeeded in creating one of the fastest, lightest, quickest products in its class combined with an attractive finish to appeal to style conscious Apple Mac users."

Just last month, Canon Europe released a report into the effect the economic downturn is having on the printing industry across the continent.
