Canon PIXMA iP4840 Maximises Ink Cartridge Efficiency
A new printer that specialises in producing photos and documents has been released, which could interest those with ink cartridges.
The Canon PIXMA iP4840 produces prints at high speeds and will replace the iP4700, Anton Chuiko tells IT Chuiko.
The print head of the device has a class ink drop volume of one picolitre and can produce a maximum print resolution of approximately 9,600/d.
According to the blogger, the use of five separate ink tanks, which can be replaced independently, will also optimise ink usage.
Mr Chuiko said: "The printer has fast print speeds of ISO ESAT: approximately 11.0 images per minute in monochrome and approximately 9.3 images per minute in colour and picture 10x15cm, professional-quality borderless prints in about 20CE."
Earlier this month, Canon announced that it would be launching a number of printers in the PIXMA range that would be taking advantage of the company's Intelligent Touch System.
