Canon Releases Selphy CP800
Canon released an addition to its line of compact photo printers by unveiling the Selphy CP800 on Thursday 19th August.
Designed for modern living, the Selphy CP800 not only comes packed with great features, it also looks good in a choice of two colours and will sit happily anywhere in your home.
With a price tag set at under £75, the Selphy CP800 is a dye sublimation printer (which uses heat to transfer ink to paper) that specialized in standard 4x6 photos, although it does print other photo sizes. Printing a borderless postcard-sized photo will take 47 seconds on the Selphy C800.
Before printing, users can preview images on a 2.5-inch LCD screen, and has an Image Shuffle feature that will allow users to turn favorite pictures into a collage.
While the printer has a USB port that can connect to computers, it can also be used as a standalone photo printer. The Selphy CP800 can print photos directly from a USB flash drive and memory cards, as well as the popular PictBridge camera interface. A Bluetooth dongle is also availiable for an extra cost for those who do a lot of printing from their mobile devices.
