Jack Times has offered some helpful troubleshooting tips for owners of the Canon i860 inkjet printer. Increasing in popularity, Canon products are popular with businesses and individuals alike, but, regardless of what type of printer you own, it is always good to know handy tips, the newspaper states.

One problem, the 5100 error, is detailed by the news provider. First, get in touch with your nearest Canon help centre and ask for the ink absorber to be replaced. The problem here is that the printer often says the absorber is full.

The error then needs to be reset, the newspaper says. Do this by holding down the "resume" button while pressing the "power" button. Releasing the resume button for a moment, you then need to press it twice. The printer's light will go from amber to green.

Next, release the power button and hit the resume key four times. Then press the power one last time to complete the process. Problem solved.

"Understanding what causes common error conditions and how to resolve those problems is the best way to keep your printer running smoothly year after year," the news provider said.
