Printer Ink Firm Canon Named As A Genuinely Green Company
Printer ink firm Canon has been named one of the "Ten Companies That Are Genuinely Green".
Canon were noted that the company had set up some wide ranging environmental initiatives, including an Environmental Planning Centre and Promotion Centre that led to it being named in the list.
Furthermore, the rankings recognise firms that have implemented projects globally to deliver eco-friendly technology and reduce emissions and pollution levels.
Bunji Yano, senior director and general manager in corporate communications at Canon US, said: "At Canon, our business is driven by the goal of fostering a sustainable environment while delivering world-class digital imaging technologies.
"This recognition further validates our commitment to the environment and preserving the planet as a whole."
Recently, Canon's imagePROGRAF printer ink device won the European Digital Press Association award for Best Photographic Printer of the Year 2011 for its production capabilities, speed and quality of its documents.
