Canon India has launched a new consumer printer campaign centred on the Canon PIXMA E series.

Entitled Can A Printer Print Love?, the project aims to raise awareness of the many possibilities offered by the company's technology.

To support the campaign, the ink cartridges provider has brought in Bollywood actress Anusha Sharma, who will endorse the scheme as it looks to boost the profile of PIXMA Efficient series systems.

Dr Alok Bharadwaj, senior vice president of Canon India, said: "We are leveraging our new young brand ambassador Anushka Sharma's stylish and youthful persona to make home printing a learning and gratifying experience."

Mr Bharadwaj went on to say that the PIXMA E series devices boast "revolutionary" technology to lower printing costs.

Canon is also looking to boost its sales in the Malaysian market, with the company looking to focus on small office/home office and small and medium enterprise markets in a bid to increase profits.
