Canon Looks To Expand Customer Forum Programme

Printer company Canon is aiming to expand its customer forum programme after enjoying success at recent events in London, Reigate, Birmingham and Dublin.

Speaking to PrintWeek, Andy Harris, part of Canon's European & UK graphic arts customer marketing team, said that the events were open to any printers, regardless of whether they were Canon customers, adding that this approach will continue at future shows.

It invited commercial and in-house printers to the two-hour forums, where it revealed details about its insight report, which is entitled The Bigger Picture: your customers' view of the value of print.

Mark Lawn, Canon's UK & European marketing director, also commented on the events, noting that he is looking at developing a programme of customer seminars and workshops in 2013, which would operate in a similar way to the forums.

The ink specialist has worked hard to satisfy its customers around the world, with recently reporting that the business made printing available for free at Arizona State University after technical issues affected students.
