The Canon PIXMA MG5450 has come in for praise from a specialist at Expert Reviews.

Writing for the website, Simon Handby explained that the model boasts an effective design with a colour screen and a four-way navigation controller. He commended the machine's wireless channel, explaining that it enabled speeds to be doubled.

"This printer's high 9,600x2,400dpi resolution and small one-picolitre ink droplet size promise good photos, and the results were indeed strong, with a characteristic sharpness and good shade control that helped reproduce detail that gets lost by less accomplished photo printers," he commented.

Mr Handby noted that scans were also effective, boasting above-average sharpness and colour accuracy.

Recently, Canon announced itself as one of the sponsors for the 2013 AppForum Conference.

It will take place between January 28th and 30th at Planet Hollywood Las Vegas, with Canon Kodak, Konica Minolta, Ricoh, Xerox and XMPie confirmed as Gold Sponsors.
