The Canon Pixma MG5420 printer has been given a "good" rating from PCMag.

The machine collected three stars from the website, which praised its above-par quality for text and photos, duplex printing and Wi-Fi.

However, the site did admit that the lack of wired network support and automatic document feeder were drawbacks for consumers.

David Stone from the site also stated that the system can be a "little sluggish" for business apps.

"Few inkjet MFPs can match it for text quality, which makes it a good choice for light-duty home office use, and few can match it for photo quality, which makes it a great choice for home use," he stated.

Consumers will need to search throughout the market to ensure they find a system which is appropriate for their needs.

Rushing to the model with the lowest price could be a bad move, as long-term running costs could make it more expensive.
