Canon Pixma MX522 Earns Mixed Review
The Canon Pixma MX522 printer has picked up a mixed review from Computer Shopper.
The machine has been praised by William Harrel for its quality photo printing and ease of use, while its photo scanning and auto-duplexing print engine have also been commen ]]>
However, he admitted that its speed was “somewhat sluggish”, while its high cost per page may put some consumers off. A lack of support for memory cards was another flaw noted by the expert.
“As we have said repeatedly about these entry-level Pixmas, since they are entry-level machines, we could live with their slow printing. Small offices and workgroups that need a higher-speed, higher-volume AIO really should look to slightly costlier midrange or higher-end models,” Mr Harrel noted.
He went on to say that the machine copies and scans well, but it can only be recommended for offices with “very modest” printing needs.
Therefore, organisations that need machines capable of printing higher volumes should look elsewhere in the market.
