Canon Unveils Mobile Printing App
Canon has announced its Mobile Printing App, which is designed for devices supported by Android operating systems.
It allows users in home office environments and small and medium-sized businesses to send print jobs for specific file formats directly from their Android-enabled device to compatible printers.
The app can work with certain imageCLASS desktop LBPs and MFPs, while it can also be used with certain imageRUNNER and imageRUNNER Advance MFPs, along with the imageRUNNER LBPs.
By searching and identifying compatible MFPs within a specific broadcast range, the app can automatically save such devices for use.
Customers can simply enter the IP address of their Canon device in order to list it as one of their available print devices.
The app could prove particularly popular for businesses as mobile printing is adopted by higher numbers of consumers across the globe.
Rather than having to handle long cables, more customers are now relying on Wi-Fi-enabled machines to produce their documents.
