The duplex-capable, multi-function Dell 2145cn may be a bit on the pricey side when it comes to replacing toner cartridges, but it is still a solid choice for office use.

That is according to a review of the device by IT Pro, which highlighted the fact that there are four integrated drum and toner cartridges behind the front panel, each of which slides into place on a set of runners.

According to the technology website, drum and toner cartridges are available in two configurations: standard yields offering 2,000 colour pages and 2,500 black pages or high yields that provide 5,000 colour and 5,500 black respectively.

At the high yield, printing costs approximately 1.95p per ISO black page and 9.2p for each ISO colour page, IT Pro noted, which although expensive, is not significantly more than similar models.

"Overall, this is a good, functional printer, easy to maintain, with high-capacity consumables - though it could do with a bigger paper tray," the review concluded.

Earlier this week,'s Adam Hartley suggested that the Dell Wasabi PZ310 is a good choice of printer for photographers looking to produce images on the go.
