Printer Firm Dell Reveals Application For Cloud Computing Users
Computer and printer maker Dell has launched its new Software as a Service (SaaS) for enterprises taking advantage of cloud computing.
The technology from Dell Boomi gives firms the opportunity to start using the new SaaS applications to help with migration to cloud technology and improve large-scale data management.
Rick Nucci, founder and chief technical officer of Dell Boomi, said: "Customers want to integrate the new with the old, reaping the benefits of the cloud without having to rip and replace what they already have.
"The new features in AtomSphere Spring 11 were designed with mid- to large-size businesses in mind to simplify their path to the cloud."
He added that enterprises are looking for the most efficient and flexible ways to move to cloud technology without affecting their old applications.
Recently, the printer firm revealed that the company plans to increase its ink cartridge and electronic recycling by 2014, and highlighted that during 2011 it aims to up its eco-friendly commitment by 16 per cent.
