The Dell B1160 system has been commended for its "very good" print quality in a recent review.

Macworld Australia looked at the hardware and gave it three out of five, citing its compact size and fast printing speed as two of its best features.

The printer measures just 178mm high and 331mm wide, meaning that it can fit easily onto most workspaces, allowing extra space to be used for other equipment.

"Most inkjet printers below $150 (£100) will struggle to print eight pages per minute (ppm) in black and white. The Dell B1160 doesn’t quite reach Dell’s estimate of 20ppm, but it did churn out our Word test documents at a snappy 17ppm," reviewer Cliff Joseph wrote.

However, businesses and individuals may want to explore the market before they commit to buying a specific system.

The HP Deskjet 2510 printer might be preferred by some, with giving the hardware a commendable seven out of ten.
