Dell has unveiled an A4 printer which claims to be the fastest of its type in the world.

The Dell 5130cdn, which is available with printer ink immediately, can produce as many as 45 pages per minute in either colour or black and white, V3.co.uk reports.

In addition, the ink cartridge manufacturer has launched the 7130cdn, Dell's first colour A3 printer, which hits the market on December 8th.

Dell's European imaging business manager Stephen Burt told the website that the company's printers are proving a hit with customers.

"We now have a fairly complete line of printers, from low-end USB mono personal printers, up to A3 and fast A4. These models essentially complete our range," he commented.

The 7130cdn can print up to 150,000 pages per month, while the 5130cdn can support 110,000.

Each printer has a differing capacity, the 7130cdn has a 600-sheet drawer, while the 5130cdn has a 550-sheet drawer.

Earlier this month, Dell introduced the Photo All-In-One, a printer adept as producing photographs in addition to acting as a copier and fax machine.
