Consumers and businesses in the market for a new printer may be interested to hear that the team at PC World has given the Epson PictureMate Show PM 300 printer a very good review.

With so much competition and confusion in the printer market it's reassuring to receive a clear idea about what is best to go with - ink cartridges or toner cartridges, inkjet or laser - and this review does just that.

The review gives positive marks for the printers integrated digital frame and its very good photo quality, but is marked down for the fact that it only accepts four-by-six-inch paper and the fact it has somewhat limited layout options.

In terms of printer ink it includes a starter-size 20-print cartridge, while a replacement pack containing a 150-print cartridge and 150 sheets of paper is available for purchase, working out at a very low cost per print.

Concluding, the reviewer wrote: "The PictureMate Show 300 is a standout in its category, offering great performance and innovation. The integrated digital frame transforms this snapshot printer into a full-time home accessory."
