One of the big decisions facing companies looking to replace a printer is whether to opt for a laser or an inkjet model and choosing one of the latter from HP has been argued to be the most financially-wise decision.

Speaking to, Jeff Walter, outbound marketing manager at HP, has praised the benefits of the company's Officejet Pro 8500 wireless all-in-one printer.

He specifically promoted the advantages when it came to using colour printer ink over laser printers and its ability to offer users more than just the capability of printing.

According to the website, Mr Walter said: "It allows users to wirelessly print professional colour documents for up to 50 per cent less cost per page and energy use than competitive laser printers.

"And with multifunction capabilities, users can print, scan, copy and fax all from one device."

Earlier this year, another printer from Epson, the fifth generation TM-T88V, was awarded the Energy Star accolade, setting the benchmark in providing energy efficiency in the thermal printer category.
