Printer ink maker Epson has launched a range of lightweight projectors for the mobile presenter market.

Weighing 1.7kg with a height of 44m, the Epson EB-1750, EB-1760W, EB-1770W and EB-1775W devices are smaller than the standard laptop and are designed to be easily carried around in a laptop bag. Additionally, an accessible set-up function means the projectors are easy to use in a variety of different locations.

The devices use Epson's 3LCD technology, giving them up to 3,000 lumens of brightness. Even in full daylight, attendees of presentations can still easily take notes, for example. "These products are the ultimate in mobile presenting," Graeme Davidson, market development manager for Epson UK, said.

Earlier this month Epson also released a new business printer range. The AcuLaser C3900N series can print up to 30 documents a minute and benefits from using high-yield ink cartridges and double-pack black ink cartridges. These are designed to allow cost-per-page output.
