E Ink And Epson Develop New eReader Tablet
Printer firm Epson and E Ink have announced the development of a new high-resolution ePaper Document Reader.
The companies claim that the tablet is lightweight, energy efficient and has a paper-like display that can hold vast amounts of data.
Furthermore, Epson noted that its high-speed controller platform was an ideal choice for E Ink to develop the new technology on.
Scott Liu, chairman at E Ink, said that the adoption of eReaders has continued to develop worldwide and the latest devices can help meet consumer needs.
Torao Yajima, managing director at Epson, said: "We developed this device specifically to meet the high data demands of business and academia."
Recently, the printer ink firm announced that it would be integrating an automatic download service to its devices.
Epson claims that when using a printer on a Linux PC it will be even easier to use its product allowing consumers to produce documents quicker.
