Epson has released a series of stationary label printers that can be used portably.

Its new LabelWorks models are targeted at office environments, making them ideal for small and medium businesses as well as homes.

Included in the range are the Epson LabelWorks LW-300, LW-400 and LW-900P devices, which each print different sized labels.

The LW-300 produces print outs between 6mm and 12mm, while the LW-400 and LW-900 models develop print outs between 6mm and 18mm and 6mm and 36mm respectively.

Mr A K Harish, senior business manager of visual instruments at Epson India, said: "Harnessing our experience, we are entering this market to offer our customers an additional choice of label printing options."

Recently, Epson also agreed a three-year contract with Manchester United to remain as the club's official office equipment supplier.

The printer ink firm sees the endorsement as an important way of improving its global visibility and business growth.
