Epson Announces Strong Drupa Sales

Epson has announced that its sales lead volumes doubled at this year's Drupa when compared to the 2008 event.

As part of the show, the ink cartridge manufacturer launched five new SureColor devices, with the company collecting almost 2000 commitments for units.

In addition, a substantial number of orders for Epson's white-ink SurePress L-4033AW prompted a rise in production in order to meet demand.

Duncan Ferguson, director, professional graphics at Epson Europe, said: "Judging by the volume of both interest and orders at this drupa, Epson’s strategy of developing products with quality, reliability and affordability at the fore has proved a great hit with our customers."

These latest sales follow the news that Epson has agreed a three-year contract with Manchester United in order to carry on as the club's official office equipment supplier.

The firm sees the association as a method of improving its global visibility and business growth.
