Epson Evaluates Creative Media Accounts Amid Smart Watch Plans
Epson is believed to be reviewing its creative media accounts amid plans to market printer products alongside a new smart watch.
The company approached media agencies with the concept, which is predicted to cost roughly £5 million a year, according to Media Week.
Carat Enterprise is the incumbent on the offline media planning and buying account, though Epson used Albion London for its creative work in the past before the pair parted after a conflict.
In a statement, a representative from Albion said: "Due to some ambitious and potentially competitive new business projects we are currently working on we have decided not to work with Epson in the immediate future. We wish Epson every success and would like to thank them for the opportunity to work with them."
The spokesperson went on to say Albion has been delighted to work alongside Epson over the past four years.
