Laser Printer Sales Soar
Sales of laser printers and toner cartridges have climbed.
Sales of laser jet printers and toner cartridges have climbed while those of ink jet units and ink cartridges have decreased, it has been reported.
This is due in large part to the fact that toner cartridges last longer than the units used in ink jet printers and therefore represent a better investment, according to industry commentator the PrinterInkCartridge blog.
"The ink cartridges themselves seem to be a very poor investment, as you will need to constantly replace them. Toner cartridges for a laser printer need to be replaced much less often and you can use this to your advantage when you are looking for the best ways to start saving money," the technology analysts said.
In addition to this, the price of the actual laser jet printer has been steadily falling in the past few years, meaning that while they are still significantly more expensive than ink jet printers, they still represent a viable investment for consumers and businesses.
