Cenveo has announced it has invested in a HP Indigo W7200 Digital Press in order to improve its printer ink environment and develop its document production processes.

The company believes that the new device will upgrade its short-run publishing capabilities in the future.

John Riecher, vice-president in graphics business solutions at HP, said: "An organisation like Cenveo, with its years of expertise in digital colour printing, knows what it wants when it comes to installing an offset-quality digital press that can deliver results.

"The HP Indigo W7200 brings more value to the publishers and marketers Cenveo serves," he added.

Recently, HP announced that in the last 12 months its commercial printer ink unit sales increased by seven per cent.

Leo Apotheker, president and chief executive at the company, noted that HP is taking bold transformative steps to improve its position in the information economy and will ensure long-term shareholder values at the company and enhance products for its consumers.
