New HP Ink Cartridges Will Reduce Costs

Printer and ink cartridge manufacturer HP has unveiled a new range of ink cartridges which the firm insists will reduce ink costs for consumers.

The Continuous Ink Supply System (CISS), from Adaptive Ink, can be used in the colour HP OfficeJet Pro Series of printers.

CISS uses two models of continuous refillable cartridges - totalling a set of four ink cartridges each - as well as a series of mini-pro tanks which contain dye or pigment ink.

The ink is also contained within high-quality tanks and the cartridges indicate to users when they are running low.

Eric Johnson, vice-president of sales and marketing for Adaptive Ink, said: "Our CISSs provide a great value per volume of ink, especially in our 720mL tanks that provide less than a penny-per-page colour ink cost solution.

"The ink is contained in an airtight, light-proof bladder that keeps the ink chemistry stable beyond five years.
