Hewlett Packard To Showcase BlackBerry ePrint Application
In news that may be of interest to those looking for printer ink, a free download demo for BlackBerry smartphone users attending Wireless Enterprise Symposium (WES) 2010 could give mobile phones yet another advantage.
Designed to enable printing on the go, the HP ePrint application is based on HP CloudPrint technology and can be used anytime, anywhere from a BlackBerry mobile phone.
The app has the potential to boost productivity as workers can use it to print presentations, reports, emails, travel documents and other materials through a company's networked printers or certain public print locations.
Victor Garcia, chief technology officer for Hewlett-Packard Canada, said that those attending the event will have the first opportunity to utilise HP ePrint "to stay productive by printing to Printspot printer locations".
"HP is committed to empowering users to capitalise on business opportunities wherever they may occur and this will help companies boost employee productivity," she added.
Hewlett-Packard is now reusing the plastic from its printer ink cartridges in a bid to recycle more.
