Hewlett Packard (HP), the computer and ink manufacturer, has announced a new service that allows customers to print directly from one of their devices by using a web-based Google Cloud application from any computer or smart phone.

This software allows customers to link up to any HP ePrint-enabled device through the internet, eliminating the need for a print driver or PC connection.

Stephen Nigro, senior vice president in the imaging and printing group at HP, said: "Making it easy for our customers to print where and how they want is a top priority for HP."

He added: "With HP ePrint and cloud-aware printers, you get the best experience printing via Google Cloud Print."

Users simply add the unique email address of their printer to their Google account, which then allows them to print easily.

Recently, HP revealed new products at the Unlocking Your Energy event, in San Francisco, where it unveiled its EcoSmart devices and ink services that they claim can help reduce a customer's cost through their printing.
