HP To Provide USAF With Printer Ink Devices
Hewlett-Packard (HP) will provide the US Air Force (USAF) with printer ink and multifunction devices.
The firm has agreed a contract with USAF where it will install all its devices and toner cartridge refills as part of a four-year care pack in technical support.
USAF added that it chose HP to meet its needs for modernising its printer ink fleet to help lower its operational costs and become more environmentally friendly.
Vyomesh Joshi, executive vice president in the imaging and printing group at HP, said: "HP is thrilled to build on our 20-year history of providing the USAF with secure solutions that improve productivity, increase efficiency and reduce cost."
Recently, Lexmark and Office Depot set up a programme that will run from June 26th until July 9th where they will donate a printer ink device to the armed forces for every all-in-one product that is sold.
It is the second year that the firms have run the project for Operation Homefront and hope to donate over 4,000 printers through the initiative.
