Hewlett-Packard (HP), the printer ink and technology manufacturer, has announced a range of solutions to help drive and grow small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).

This includes the introduction of the HP ProLiant DL120 G7 server which it claims will alter the IT infrastructure within SMBs making it easier to access web, messaging and print operations.

The firm believes that this will help boost SMB productivity and efficiency in a number of different areas.

Furthermore, HP hopes that by strengthening online networks within companies it will give them greater control over their services.

Recently, printer ink firm HP announced that it had signed an agreement to acquire all the assets of Printelligent.

Vyomesh Joshi, executive vice president in imaging and printing at HP, said: "As a market leader in managed print services, this acquisition puts us even further ahead by strengthening our ability to deliver services and solutions through our channel partners to SMB customers."
