The Brother DCP-7055W printer has been praised in a recent review by PC Advisor.

Martyn Clayden from the website has described the system as a budget-priced piece of hardware with a low initial purchase price, along with the capability to scan and copy documents.

Mr Clayden remarked that the main body of the machine feels "resolutely sturdy", but the cover is flimsy in comparison.

"For remote working via notebook, tablet or smartphone, Brother's DCP-7055W mono laser 3-in-1 provides compactness, good Wi-Fi connectivity and swift printing at good quality but the low price for the unit is offset by higher ink costs," he stated.

The printer feeds paper from a 250-sheet tray in the base of the system, which Brother has established as a hallmark of its mono laser hardware.

Last month, Brother boosted its offerings in the market by introducing the Business Smart MFC-J4510DW.

It boasts a compact design and hopes to offer fast colour printing, as well as a touchscreen.
