HP Alters Printer And Systems Channel Bosses
HP has announced changes to its hierarchy, with all printer and personal systems (PPS) responsibilities now commanded by Scott Dunshrie.
Mr Dunshrie is operating as US channel chief and HP vice president and general manager of PSS, while HP vice president and GM PPS US. enterprise sales Newt Walpert will take over all US customer facing sales including SMB from May 1st.
An unnamed channel executive told CRN.com: “They are putting all the channel resources under Scott and all the sales resources under Newt, They know they have to engage and motivate the channel to drive market share and this should help. It creates better alignment with channel.”
The representative explained that the reshuffle was a “step in the right direction”.
HP’s hierarchical changes will help the company to contend with economical challenges facing modern businesses, while the business will also need to compete with rival companies such as Xerox and Canon.
