HP OfficeJet Applauded For Low Ink Cartridge Costs
The latest inkjet printer from HP has been praised in a review for its low ink costs, which the appraisal says may even save offices money over laserjet printers.
Reviewing the OfficeJet Pro 276dw, PC Advisor noted that the machine is expensive to buy initially, retailing at around £250, but is an "excellent inkjet multifunction" with enhanced manageability features that make it suitable for office environments.
Other aspects praised by the reviewer included the ease of installation and the quick and reliable output, though the low ink costs were lauded as by far the biggest attraction.
"Ink costs for the HP 276dw are outstandingly low - especially if you purchase the XL supplies: around 1p per page for black and 3/3.5p per page for cyan, magenta, and yellow," the review noted.
It added that the difference in actual cartridge costs is also so small that people might be tempted to go with the XL supplies, regardless of their requirements.
In conclusion, PC Advisor said that the OfficeJet Pro 276dw is a "temptingly nice alternative" to a laser printer for a small office or workgroup.
