Businesses And Homes Told They Can Recycle Ink Cartridges
Businesses and homes have been reminded of the benefits of recycling ink cartridges, toner cartridges and any other printer ink by an unlikely source, a charity for the protection of cats.
The Bedford, Biggleswade and District branch of Cats Protection has informed local residents that if old mobile phones and ink cartridges are donated to them then they can recycle the goods to raise funds for the charity.
This follows the recent example of Fosters Bakery, who recently announced that they collect ink cartridges in recycling bags before sending them on to a registered charity in People Management magazine.
In a statement the charity said: "By donating your used ink cartridges and old mobile phones to Cats Protection we can recycle them and raise funds to help the cats in our care."
This follows the news that earlier this month Healthy Pets Insurance company was honoured for the second year in a row in a sustainable business awards line-up for its work in recycling, among other things, ink cartridges.
