London-based Studio Announces Use Of Little Printer
A London-based design studio has announced it is to use a small, web-enabled printer alongside ink cartridges to produce what it describes as ‘mini-newspapers’.
BERG Ltd will use the printer to create such newspapers which will bring users news, puzzles as well as gossip from friends all via subscriptions from smartphones. Little
Printer uses a compact, inkless printer as well as a zero-configuration wireless web connection. The studio hopes to combine graphic design with strong connectivity in order to help make their products as strong as possible with strong design at the heart of everything they do.
A statement from BERG reads: “Because publications are created in our cloud on the web, not in your front room, we can offer more services for your Little Printer without the need for updates or a replacement product.”
Pre-orders for the printer will open in 2012 when it will initially be launched as a beta product.
