A number of companies across the Peterborough area have been showcased the benefits of using environmentally-friendly toner and ink cartridges.

With the help of the Speed creative agency, companies in the city have been offering audits to local companies on how best to reduce their overall printing bill thanks to a number of different techniques.

Speed only print on products from Forest Stewardship Council paper suppliers as well as only using vegetable oil-based inks in the hope of reducing cost and the effect on the environment.

According to Peterborough Today, the average employee in any given workplace uses around 10,000 sheets of paper every year with a large proportion of these pages being unintentional and deemed to be waste.

The newspaper also reported that Speed is currently working with a sizable company in the local area and has reduced their printing by 25 per cent.

The reduction of any costs, including printing costs, will be welcome for businesses still looking to streamline their operations amidst the economic uncertainty.
