Firms Can Become Greener By Printing Carefully
Firms can boost their green credentials by putting more thought into their use of ink cartridges, one expert has advised.
Speaking to Fresh Business Thinking, Richard Costin, managing director of Banner Business Services, has encouraged workers to check how long their document is prior to printing to ensure they are only using the number of pages required.
Mr Costin also advised staff to change the settings of their printers to guarantee that pages print on both sides.
Another way that firms can become greener is by keeping electronic versions of data, as opposed to hard copies, while emails should be used to invite people to events instead of printed hand-outs.
It appears that more companies now want to lower the impact on the environment, as the Office Depot Small Business Index has found that 72 per cent of small businesses are hoping to lower their footprint by reducing waste.
As well as this, 61 per cent are planning to purchase energy-efficient products.
