Police efforts in the UAE have helped to prevent criminals from selling counterfeit HP ink cartridges products.

The National has reported that Dubai Police has carried out for raids this year, capturing around 500,000 fake ink cartridges in the process.

Tina Rose, anti-counterfeit programme manager at HP, noted that, of all the nations in the Middle East and Africa, the highest number of seizures of counterfeit HP products have been collected in the Emirates.

The total number of counterfeits seized in the UAE since 2011 is more than two million - and this is just counterfeit HP ink cartridges. It makes the UAE a stronger place for us to conduct business," Ms Rose commented.

This summer, HP announced a new deal with the Handheld Group to sell goods throughout the world.

The company has granted a license to patents for the electrical, mechanical and system design of a handheld inkjet printer with wireless communication.
