Canon is launching five new printers in the US which could soon make their debut in Europe.

The printing giant has this week introduced a new model (MP560) in its Pixma range of ink cartridge printers, as well as several new ImageClass laser devices.

Both the ImageClass MF8050Cn and MF8350Cdn are multifunction colour devices that feature Ethernet and USB 2.0 connectivity.

The former can print 21 pages per minute (ppm) in colour or black and white, while the latter has a colour ppm of eight and a black and white rate of 12 ppm.

Joining the Pixma MP560 is the MP590, which boasts Canon's ChromaLife100+ four-color ink system and also features a 1.8 inch LCD screen.

Canon has also launched the Selphy CP790, a compact dye-sub printer that is targeted towards people looking to print while on the move.

Last week, the Canon Pixma MX330 printing solution was praised by Cnet for offering an attractive ink cartridge-based device aimed at people with a budget.
